In the heart of the francophone community of Durham, the COFRD works towards the development, and assures the vitality of the French community.

Services provided in or through our office:
A French employment Center at 57, Simcoe Rd. South, office 2H.
A branch of the Librairie du Centre where French books, CDs, DVDs, dictionariesand more are available. Please acknowledge that it is the only place in the Durham region that sells many French products for all ages.
Magazines including; Elle, Coup de pouce, Femme plus, Géoplainair, l'actualité etc. can be borrowed free of charge.

Stéphane Côté, November 12th, 2011
Following the release of his third album, Stéphane Côté now presents us his new show, "Des Nouvelles". In duo with his musician Alain Leblanc, Stéphane offers a poetic and intimate performance of guitar, lele guitar, and piano.
Brian St-Pierre, December 10th, 2011
Well known for his French ontarien songs, Brian St-Pierre returns once again with his show “Soirée chez mon oncle Hector (A night at my uncle Hector's)”. Known for the megashow, Echo d’un peuple, Brian brings us back in time to a family reunion just like when you were a kid with this interactive, family friendly show.
Éric Michaud and Patrice Michaud, February 25th, 2012
2009 winner of the International Lying Contest in Moncrabeau, France, Éric Michaud is the first "King of the liars" to come from outside of Europe. He now presents us his show, "The true story of the liar King".
Singer-storyteller from Gaspésie, Patrice Michaud is the winner of the 2009 Granby International Song Festival and was rewarded three times at the 2008 Petite-Vallée Song Festival. Patrice present a show where singing, storytelling and humour mix to make us laugh, or to make us cry.
Robert Lebel, March 4th, 2012
Well-known across Canada, Robert Lebel has been a singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. With simple, but deep, harmonies and texts, his show can be appreciated by all age groups.

Découvertes 2012
Découvertes is a French singing competition showcasing the talent of Durham’s youth in every age category. Découvertes 2012 will be held Sunday the 26th of February at the Parish hall 384 Hillside Ave. Oshawa.

École Saint Charles Garnier
Synopsis:
In the early hours of the morning, a space ship that we thought to be a meteor, crashes and an alien takes refuge un a young couple garage. The couple and their friends soon find out that life on Gatonie is very different from Earth. The police chief, a little slow, works to find Clovis but all sorts of wacky adventures will make it so he will find anything. All we can say is you won’t believe your ears.
